Hi, we are Ruben, Jonathan and Solee, students from the TU Delft. We are currently doing the minor International Entrepreneurship and Development, and our project is situated in the inland of Suriname (Cottica area). Our goal is to transform the local farmers into sustainable entrepreneurs. We accomplish this with hydroponics, an innovative way of farming suitable for vegetables. With this technique the roots of the plants hang in water containing a mix of nutrients instead of soil. We are building the hydroponic tables to experiment with this technique. In the next stage we will place the tables at the houses of enthusiastic farmers so we can coach the farmers in using the technique.
