We are Cloud Chaser V, working in Guatemala with an NGO called CCFC. Our team consists of 5 Environmental Engineering students and 1 from Hydraulic and Offshore structures.
Our project aims to improve understanding of the hydrological cycle in the Sierra Yalijux cloud forests. More specifically the partitioning of both horizontal and vertical precipitations in this cloud forest ecosystem, and how land-cover change alters these fluxes. We want to quantify rainfall recycling and conditions for fog formation and improve the current long term measurement set-up.
