Hey!
The project is now in its final phase, and the end is in sight. The cooling chamber is already standing! It has become really large. It hasn’t yet been running for a long period of time to test it properly. Due to climate change, the transition from the rainy season to the dry season has gone differently than expected. It’s raining more often than usual. When the air becomes saturated with moisture from the rain, the chamber works less effectively. The cooling effect depends on the humidity level in the air.
Fortunately, the additional adjustments to the chamber are working well, which means it can already be put into use. The insulation of the roof and the floor is already making a noticeable difference! When you walk inside, it feels much colder than outside. I really can’t wait to run the chamber for a longer time to see how cold it can get inside.
Participants from the ACHI programme and the teachers have already visited. Everyone is happy and impressed with the result. Some farmers have already shown concrete interest! It’s great to see the impact of your project. I still have one week left to finish up the final tasks. Looking back, it has been a fun and valuable experience. I hope the Ghanaians will make good use of the cooling chamber.
