Energy for Refugees

Location: Tripoli, Lebanon | |

We are Energy for Refugees (EfR), a non-profit organization comprising of TU Delft students from diverse backgrounds, that specializes in sustainable energy projects. This year's project is for a school in Tripoli, Lebanon, attended by refugee students. The mission is to make the school self-sufficient through solar panels, batteries, and inverters, ensuring reliable power for lighting, computers, air conditioning, and water pump. As currently the school relies on a costly, polluting diesel generator for backup power and receives max. 2 hrs of electricity per day from the grid. Our organization is extremely grateful for the sponsoring of S4S for the photovoltaic panels and the DC accessories.
